The Abbot Public Library is planning a youth center with a cafe, a classroom and plenty of young people’s books. It is a dream come true… a place at the library where kids will want to go. But. it’s all about the money, of course. A new children’s room is also in the package presented by Arrowstreet, Inc., a design firm working with the trustees to develop ideas for the lower level of the library. More young people using the library is a definite good thing. But it’s also good to know that those studious librarians are planning the improvements.
